Shauna is part of the Ladies Football team that won the Junior A Championship last year, she played a vital role in the teams championship campaign last year that saw her win the Ladies Footballer of the year award. 

We would like to wish Shauna and the Ladies Football team the best of luck in their League Final tomorrow.

Lindsay Davy from Dublin she is very talented.

Biggest influence on your football career:

I’d have to say my dad he was always driving us to matches and training. He was always motivating us and always had positive things to say …. not to the ref tho!!

Best advice someone has given you: 

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Best grounds you’ve played in: 

St Conleth’s Park, we played our primary school final there .

Best player you’ve played with: 

Carla Rowe from Dublin ladies. We played together in college for DKIT, she has the best skill I’ve seen in ladies football.

Sporting hero: 

Henry Shefflin

Career high: 

Winning the Championship last year and getting into the Leinster semi finals making history for the Moorefield ladies.

Loosing to Na Fianna in the league final last year by on point. We got our revenge in the championship tho!

Who’s your best friend on the team? 

It would have to be Niamh my sister , shed kill me if I didn’t pick her !

Who’s the tough nut of the team? 

Hannah Quirke. It’s like hitting a brick wall!!

Who’s the quickest?

It would have to be Aisling Curleys if she gets past you there’s no catching

Who’s the Joker/Messer of the team?

Hannah Quirks again she is always giggling and joking.

Who’s the most skilful?

Kayley Humphreys is quite skillfull she’ll be one to watch in the years to come.

Who’s the best trainer? 

Dearbhail Kelly is the best trainer she never misses a session and always gives 100%.

Who’s the worst time keeper on the team? 

Definitely the Curleys! 

Who is the best dancer? 

Seamus Fingleton was throwing some shapes in the dancefloor at Ciara Conaty’s 21st!

Who is the worst dancer?

Probably me I’m a terrible dancer.

Who’s the biggest whinger on the team? 

Ciara Conaty …..she’d tell you that herself !

Funniest nickname on the team? 

I’d say it would be Niamh Doyle my mam used to call her niamher beaver I don’t think many people know her nick name…..well they do now sorry Niamh !

Finally, who’s the manager’s pet?? 

Ah I think Mark has an auld soft spot for Seamus !
