Players would have to be 39 going on 40 and above to qualify. There are two new entries into The All Ireland series this year in Kildare and Roscommon, to add to the 22 Counties already competing. Last year was a particularly successful one for The Masters as it was the inaugural year for The Masters compromise rules played over two test in which Ireland were victorious over a large travelling Australian contingent.

The County’s ‘Masters Football Team’ is being resurrected after a lapse of a number of years and Kildare will be competing in This Years All Ireland Series.

The Panel is competing in Dingle Vs a strong Galway Panel this coming April 1st as part of a Kildare based Mental Health organisation called ‘Cairde-Friends Matter‘ who will provide peer to peer support, early childhood education on well-being, and source accommodation for people suffering with ‘life limiting anxiety and mental health issues and support independent living.

Interested players must be aged 38 years and upwards. The first training session is this coming Sunday February 12th @11am in Allenwood and every Sunday thereafter until our inaugural game in Dingle at 1:30pm on Saturday April 1st 2017 in Dingle GAA Stadium. Kildare Masters will play Vs Galway Masters.
