It’s Senior Scór time again!! We are looking for members over 17 years of age to take part in one or more of the competitions, Céili Dancing, Solo-Singing, Instrumental Music, Leiriu Novelty Act, Question Time, Recitation or Story Telling, Ballad Group and Set-dancing.

The Kildare Final is arranged for Sunday March 5th in Allenwood GAA Hall commencing at 7.30pm.  Entries need to be in BEFORE Feb 28th.

Please note that the quiz will take place after the other events at approx 9.15pm.

For your information, Scór is the cultural side of the GAA and is divided into two categories – Scór Na nÓg for children under 17 years of age and Scór Sinsear for anyone over 17 years of age.  The Scór Sinsear competition takes place between March and April.  The purpose of Scór is to promote Irish culture within clubs, and to give the members who may not necessarily wish to take part in sporting activities the opportunity to show their talents elsewhere.

There are eight competitions, Céili Dancing, Solo-Singing, Instrumental Music, Novelty Act, Question Time, Recitation or Story Telling, Ballad Group and Set-dancing. Clubs can provide competitors in each category to compete against other clubs within the county.  The county winners go forward to represent Kildare at the Leinster semi-finals which will take place this year at Allenwood Gaa Hall ON SUNDAY MARCH 12TH at 4pm.  The Leinster final will take place on the weekend of March 31ST venue to be announced and the All Ireland final in the Waterfront Belfast on Sat 6th May.
