We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of our former Club President Lorcán O’Rourke.
Lorcán had a long and distinguished history with Moorefield and the GAA. From coaching to taking the role of Secretary and Club President to acting as our Club Historian and a driving force behind our PR Committee for many years. Lorcán will be remembered forever as the man behind the Moorefield GAA history book “Moorefield GAA Club – Our Club, Our Town 1884 – 2014”.
Away from Moorefield Lorcán also served as the head of the Handball Association for over 20 years.
A gentleman, our friend and a Moorefield legend; Lorcán will be truly missed by all in Moorefield GAA. Our thoughts are with Phil, Aoife, Enda and all of the O’Rourke family and friends at this difficult time.
