11th of March Coaching the Keeper Workshop

This will supply coaches with the necessary knowledge and coaching techniques in order to provide focused and beneficial training for Goalkeepers

This will be given by William Harmon and Mary Hulgraine

€10 per person – Venue and times TBC

It is now mandatory that all coaches complete this.


Fundamentals course set for the 23rd of March

 Coaches will look at:

· Importance of creating a positive environment for our players

· Planning and implementing training programmes

· Introduction to the player pathway

· Create an awareness about making sessions more inclusive

· Importance of Fundamental Movement Skills & Injury Prevention

€20 per person – Venue and times TBC

30th and 31st of March for a Level 1 referees course


The course is to assist, recruit and train new referees with a specific emphasis on females.

On completion of the course the referee will be qualified to referee up to County U14 Level and all underage clubs depending on the age of the referee.

Course participants must be 17 years and over.All participants are aware of the following:Course consists of:-

Two 6 hours contact days- One 2 hour session after county/club organised blitz


Kildare GAA will be hosting a Hurling Award 1 Child coaching course in February/March.
