Moorefield GAA are delighted to play our part with the ongoing “Do It For Dan” fundraising campaign.
‘Do It For Dan is a fundraising drive for Dan Donoher, son of former Laois footballers Niall and Aisling (Nee Quigley) Donoher. Dan is suffering from a rare muscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 and Scoliosis. Dan has recently just turned 1 and the life expectancy for a SMA Type 1 child is 18-24 months. Dan and his parents need our help and support to raise $2.1 million for him to receive the medical treatment he needs in America. To date over One Million Euro has been raised but fundraising initiatives have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are asking a minimum of 100 Club Members to walk/jog/run 5k a day for 10 days starting Monday 27th April. This event is suitable for all ages & all family members are welcome to take part. To register text your name to 087-1323281.
**With the current restrictions, each participant is to stay within the 2km radius from their homes**
We encourage all club members to play their part by participating and donating to this very worthy cause. Every little helps.
