Moorefield GAA Club are looking forward to hosting the first round of the Senior Football League this Saturday evening with a home game against Sarsfield GAA Club at 6pm. Due to the current restrictions in place from the GAA Covid 19 Advisory Group we are permitted to allow 100 spectators attend the game. Any person considering attending the game should be aware of the following advice from the GAA Covid 19 Advisory Committee,
Ø Spectators should be aware that in attending GAA, Camogie and LGFA games not all the risks posed from Covid-19 can be eliminated but that essential control measures have been put in place to reduce risks for spectators.
Ø Spectators must not attend if they display any symptoms of Covid-19 and instead should phone their GP and follow public health advice.
Ø Individuals that are considered high risk or are in close contact with others who are considered high risk should not attend.
Ø Individuals must be informed that much of the responsibility for managing Covid-19 risk remains with themselves, particularly in relation to social distancing, the wearing of face coverings and sanitation
Ø All spectators should are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitiser.
Ø The use of face coverings is required for all patrons over the age of 13 (including those who have been vaccinated)
Ø Spectators must not enter the field of play at any time, whether pre-match, at half-time and other intervals or after the final whistle or at end-of-match presentations
Ø All spectators should are encouraged to download the HSE tracing app.
Ø Spectators should be advised to keep their own record of contacts at a match for potential tracing purposes.
Moorefield GAA Club will implement its ground management plan and will have a number of stewards in attendance that will be clearly identifiable. These stewards are there to assist in any way they can. We are asking all spectators to adhere to the public health guidelines as they relate to social distancing, hand sanitizing etc. etc. Please help us make this event as safe as possible for those attending.
