  • Davy Dennis Perpetual Memorial Cup for Underage Hurling

    Rory and Ciarán
    Congratulations to Ciarán Mulvey  who is the second recipient of the Davy Dennis Cup. The Cup honours the memory of a Cork man who came to work in Newbridge in 1954 and joined Moorefield because the club was “committed to entering hurling teams in the championships” and he perceived Moorefield as having a positive attitude to our traditional field game. Ciarán received his award from last year’s winner Rory Mc Grath.
    Ciarán won this award as he is gets on very well with all off his peers and everyone likes him. His attitude to training and improving his skills is one of the best, he hates missing training and he always gives it everything. For this commitment and effort he was made captain of the under-15s this year. He always handles himself with integrity and confidence and always has a smile on his face. Ciarán plays hard but fair and he is never cautioned by referees. The harder the challenge, the harder he works which will always guarantee excellence. He is a well deserved recipient of the Davy Dennis award. Well done Ciarán.

  • Dinner Dance 2018

    Join us for a great night of celebrations at our Dinner Dance on Easter Saturday 31st March at the Keadeen Hotel.
    2017 was a year to remember for the club & we are going to celebrate it in style.
    On the night, the Senior Football team will be presented with their Leinster Club Championship, Kildare Senior Championship & Leinster Leader Cup Div.1 League medals. The Ladies Football team will be presented with their Intermediate Championship & Div. 2 League medals. The player of the year & individual club awards will also be presented on the night.

  • Davy Dennis Award

    The Davy Dennis award finally found its home on Friday evening after delays with engraving. Davy must have looked over the event with glee as Rory McGrath, the first recipient wore a Cork jersey.

  • Awards Night 2017

    The Moorefield Annual Awards Night took place in the club last Saturday night and a large crowd was in attendance. The Senior Reserve A team and the Minor Ladies Football team were presented with their championship medals and the Minor Football team and Camogie team were presented with their league medals.

  • Girls Football Presentation Night

    Well done to all of the girls who played for Moorefield this year. It was great to celebrate such big numbers at our presentation night. Well done to all of the teams and individual award winners.

    Super night on Sunday 2nd October celebrating the 1991 Senior Hurling Jubilee team. well done to the organising committee.

  • Awards Night 2015

    The club celebrated our success’ of 2015 with a large crowed of our members and supporters on Saturday night and a great night was had by all.

    On the night the Minor team were presented with their Minor A championship medals, the Ladies football team were presented with their Junior A championship medals and the Senior football team were presented with their division 1 league medals and Aldridge Cup medals.

  • Awards Night 2016

    Our Annual Awards night will take place on Saturday 20th February in the club.
    On the night our Minor team and Ladies football team will be presented with their championship medals, our Senior team will be presented with their league and Aldridge cup medals along with the individual player of the year awards.
    There will be buffet, live music and dj on the night.

  • Intermediate Hurler of the Year 2015

    Paul Dawson being presented with Matthew Kemmy’s Intermediate Hurler of the year award tonight at the Kildare GAA Awards tonight. Congratulations Matthew!
