Executive Messages

Members are reminded to return their Club Draw tickets to Mick O'Neill by Tuesday 9 September, the first draw takes place on 12 September.

Important notice to all male Gaelic football players and hurling players.

The GAA have made some significant changes to the Player Injury Fund.

As of 1 June 2025, club secretaries are no longer the primary point of contact for a player suffering an injury.

Each player will register their injury themselves via the Foireann App.

It is vital that all players have paid their annual membership as this is a first check that will be done against any injury claim.

Any player under the age of 18 will require their parent to register the claim for them.

Any existing claims made up to the 31st May will be managed by the GAA.

Underage Football

Following another hugely successful Mini Moores Summer Camp we were delighted to welcome a number of new players to Mini Moores on Saturday mornings. The Camp provided a great opportunity for new players to meet their team mates and get comfortable with football skills ahead of the Autumn Go Games Leagues and LGFA Blitz days. Reminder to everyone who participated in the Summer Camp to redeem your Gino's Gelato voucher.

Saturday 6 September saw our U10s host the Festival of Football. The Festival of Football saw 270 footballers from 15 clubs take over the grounds of Moorefield GAA.

Proudly representing Moorefield in the Kildare jersey over recent weeks and bringing home silverware have been Jamie Wolfe with the U16 Squad who secured the Gerry Reilly Shield, Ollie Hanniffy and Dean Hanniffy Murnaghan Murnaghan claiming the Adam Mangan Title.

Ladies Football

2025 is shaping up as a landmark year for Moorefield Ladies with the section fielding two teams in the U16, U14 and U12 Championships which are currently in full swing.

Well done to all of our U15 players who participated in the Player Development Programme across the Summer culminating in the Leinster Blitz in Portlaoise.

Underage Hurling & Camogie

The Autumn is providing ample opportunities for our Hurling and Camogie players to display their skills with our boys and girls taking part in a number of Blitz days recently. Of note was our U16 Camogie Blitz which saw Moorefield welcoming nine teams for a great day.

Congratulations to Ava Cummins who captained the Kildare U15 team in the All Ireland Shield Final. Also claiming silverware for Kildare were Sean Coleman and Ronan Barry who won their respective Shield Finals.
